I have written pretty extensively lately about pop musicians using augmented reality to deliver additional, exclusive content to the people buying their albums. I also wrote last week about a pretty cool augmented reality advent calendar that Zappar had created.
Well, now we have the best of both worlds. A pop musician has turned his album into an advent calendar.

UK pop star Robbie Williams has added an AR feature to the cover of his Take the Crown album. When fans scan the cover with their mobile camera using the Robbie Williams app between now and Christmas, they will unlock daily treats.
One of my 2013 predictions in an upcoming post will be that augmented reality will become a regular feature for new music releases. With so many good platforms popping up, AR is becoming much easier to create and a great way to deliver additional content to consumers. We are going to see a whole bunch of AR in the music in industry in 2013.
