Last night, Pinterest announced the launch of an Android and iPad app. Previously, they only had offered an iPhone app.
The availability of Pinterest to a much larger mobile user base is undoubtedly going to result in users spending even more time on a social network known for the long lengths of stay by its devoted users.
The launch of these apps, combined with last week’s announcement that Pinterest no longer requires an invitation for registration, should result in a pretty significant spike in monthly active users. At last check, Pinterest had 20 million users.
