Newsflash: Pinterest is Very Popular on Phones (New and Updated Stats)

Today, I updated a post that I haven’t done much with in a little while. Pinterest isn’t a publicly-traded company so they aren’t required to share any data quarterly like some of their social network peers. For a while, Pinterest stats were popping up so quickly that it was tough to keep up with them. Things have quieted down considerably up until recently.

You Won’t Believe How Many Users Facebook Has Now (new and updated stats)

Since it went public two years ago, one of the most heavily anticipated quarterly earnings statements in the digital world is Facebook’s. Not only does Facebook give us the usual income and revenue data that is required of them, but there is always a bunch of updated user stats littered throughout the filings.

Major Google Stat Updates and Additions

The 2nd quarter 2014 financial reporting season has begun and an early entrant this time around is everyone’s favorite digital behemoth Google. Although their financials we pretty much just revenue and income, there were also a few interesting tidbits about Google advertising performance mixed in.

Aside from the financials, I also had a pile of Google stats that have been building up. Now seemed as good a time as ever to get caught up a bit, so there are a bunch of new and updated stats now in my Google posts.

It may not be the only show in town anymore, but Facebook is still a large, if not the largest, digital marketing platform out there. Marketers of all walks of life need to be up to speed on the latest Facebook developments and trends. That is a major reason why I spend so much time reporting Facebook statistics and offering up bits of strategy and insight here and there.

New and Updated Tumblr Stats

Today’s DMR update is another long overdue one. Even with almost 200 million blogs on its platform, Tumblr still seems to fly under the radar a bit more than its social counterparts. I don’t have a bunch of Tumblr updates, but the numbers I was able to round up sure are impressive. Here are some of the updates:

New and Updated LinkedIn Stats and a New, Easier Format

Today’s DMR stat update is a long overdue one. I’ve updated and added a bunch of LinkedIn statistics and did a little housekeeping while I was at it.

The LinkedIn post has grown to a point where simply listing all the stats is overwhelming and makes it very difficult to find a particular stat. Much like our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google and other posts, the LinkedIn post is now broken up into multiple pages based on stat category. Here are all the new LinkedIn stat pages:

Albert Einstein once said “not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts” this is a hugely compelling statement, but who knew it would still be so relevant today.

In a sense, Einstein has hit the social media nail on the head. Integrating social media into your overall marketing strategy can bring huge business benefits, yet, these are both tangible and intangible and as a result, not every aspect of your social media success can be measured. It’s easy to get lost in social media but how can you really ensure you’re getting a clear ROI? With regards to social media, we like to term this ‘Return on Involvement’; and it’s vital that you ensure you’re seeing a return on all your social media time and efforts.
