Mashable has a great article about a new Reebok app that tattles on you to your social media friends if you don’t hold to your workout schedule.

The Promise Keeper app (available for iPhone and Android) allows you to schedule your run and then check in when you begin and finish your workout. If you do not complete your run as scheduled, it tells your Facebook friends and Twitter followers about your delinquency.
The idea is that peer pressure will force you to workout whether you want to or not.
As Mashable points out, it is based on the honor system, which is obviously easy to manipulate if you don’t feel like going on your run, so it really doesn’t ‘force’ you to run like the app claims.
What would really be cool is if this app was somehow connected to your running shoes. This would eliminate the honor system element and accurately report to your friends if you are slacking.
