Another day, another round of stat updates. This time, I spent a little quality time with my Instagram stat post. The slideshow below spotlights a few of the new and updated stats. As always, for hundreds more Instagram stats, be sure to check out the complete post.
Last month, Waitrose boss Mark Price concluded that social media has led to dramatic changes in the way we now perceive food, which in turn has sparked a dilemma for food industry giants.
The report has found that Britons have recently developed more cosmopolitan taste buds, born out of the sharing of food images online. As social media provides a way for the globe to share images and ideas, it’s no wonder we are now taking food inspiration from people all over the world.
According to the report…
Video is the future of content marketing…a bold statement you may think, but this really is undeniable. Research has shown that the average internet user watches around 206 videos each month and so it’s a total no-brainer that video is set to become the content king.
As we become increasing scanners, with heaps of content at our disposal, marketers need to find ever more engaging ways of getting their content seen. Unlike reading articles, video has an impressive 79% completion rate, and so its no wonder this is quickly becoming the go-to marketing platform.
Already, 70% of marketers now include video in there overall marketing strategies, positing them as a vital mart of campaigns. So, if your business isn’t reaping the endless benefits of video then what on earth are you waiting for? Video is undeniably the most powerful marketing tool on the web; it’s persuasive, memorable and search engines love it!
It’s been a little while since I spent some time updating my Instagram stat posts, mostly because there was a long period of time when there really wasn’t much coming out about it. Instagram stats are tougher to come by than you would expect from a digital platform owned by a publicly-traded company. Even though they are owned by Facebook, Instagram stats aren’t generally released when Facebook reports their quarterly financials. I’ve dug up quite a few new stats over the past few weeks and added them to my posts.
Below are a few of the more interesting Instagram stats from this round.
Happy Coffee Day! Here is a fun infographic that tries to explain social media in terms of coffee. This is a pretty good pairing since most of us in the social media marketing world are over-caffeinated, coffee addicts.
Many users blanket post their content over all platforms at the same time, meaning the same message is posted on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Google+…..this is sacrilege. Every social media platform has a different optimal time to post and this is based upon the usage of each platform. If you want to make the most of your posts then follow these simple guidelines – it’s not an exact science but hopefully we’ll be able to help you get the most out of all of your posts.
Someone asked me the other day just how many stats I had accumulated on DMR. Honestly, I have no idea, but the total is well into the thousands. While I am constantly (daily) working to make it easier for you to find the stat you need when you need it, it can still be a bit challenging to sift through everything at times.
As a marketer, some stats I list here are more interesting to me than others, especially if I am looking for a few quick ones to throw into a proposal or presentation. Knowing this, I’ve pulled a few stats from my Instagram post that I find very interesting from a marketing point of view. These stats not only illustrate why you should be using Instagram, but also how to best use it.
It’s undeniable that the hashtag is an integral part of social media marketing and from the seriously weird, to the utterly wonderful, there is a hashtag for everything. So, for all the #haters it looks like you’re fighting a losing battle, this small, once rarely used symbol seems to be taking over the world one hashtag at a time.
You may have noticed that DMR has been a bit quiet lately. I took a very overdue vacation in the mountains of New Hampshire and had access to the Internet for about 5 minutes a day. Home now and getting back into the swing of things. First up, is my continued efforts to chip away at the mountain of stats that has built up over the past few months. We have certainly had no shortage of social media stats lately. Below are a few of the additions and updates. Keep an eye out for more updates this week. I am setting aside quite a bit of time this week to get caught up.
It’s been a few weeks since I made any major stat updates. With most of my efforts spent on rebuilding the DMR Digital Directory from the ground up, the stats took a bit of a backseat. Now, with a majority of the directory in place (and working properly), its time to get a bit caught up on the stats.
This round of updates focuses on Facebook, Instagram, LINE, Snapchat, Weibo, WeChat and tumblr. Below are a few of the new stats from this round. Honestly, I haven’t even made a dent in my stat backlog, so be sure to check back often over the next few weeks as I get caught up.
