In the U.S., Amazon has been synonymous with ecommerce for more than a decade. What if I were to tell you that, globally, Amazon had a very formidable competitor. China’s Alibaba is, by far, the largest ecommerce company in its home country and many other parts of the world. While they haven’t quite penetrated the mainstream in America like some might have thought when they joined Wall Street as a publicly traded company, but their footprint in the rest of the world is pretty amazing.
So how big has Alibaba become? Here are all the Alibaba statistics I have been able to dig up over the years; 90+ of them including stats on:
- Singles Day
- Etc.- all in one place
I try to go through each and every stat regularly and update as much as possible, but we all know that some stats are easier to track down than others. As always, every stat is linked to its original source and has the source date listed.
