Here are a few of the most interesting T-Mobile statistics and facts I was able to dig up including restaurant count, revenue totals and employee counts. As always, be sure to check back in the future as I will be updating this post as new and updated stats become available.
T-Mobile Facts
Here is pretty much everything you ever wanted to know about T-Mobile.
T-Mobile is a telecommunications company based in the United States. It is the third-largest wireless carrier in the country, after Verizon and AT&T. T-Mobile offers wireless voice, messaging, and data services to more than 100 million customers in the US.
The company was originally founded in 1994 as VoiceStream Wireless PCS, a subsidiary of Western Wireless Corporation. The company began offering wireless services in 1996 and quickly expanded to become one of the fastest-growing wireless carriers in the US.
In 2002, VoiceStream Wireless was acquired by Deutsche Telekom, a German telecommunications company, and was rebranded as T-Mobile USA. The acquisition marked Deutsche Telekom’s entry into the US wireless market, and T-Mobile USA became the company’s flagship brand in the country.Over the years, T-Mobile USA continued to grow and expand its offerings, introducing innovative plans and services such as unlimited data plans and free international roaming.
In 2018, T-Mobile USA announced a merger with Sprint, another major US wireless carrier. The merger was completed in 2020, creating a larger, more competitive wireless carrier that is better positioned to compete with Verizon and AT&T. The merged company operates under the name T-Mobile.
Please note that some of these numbers are easier to find than others. A few of these T-Mobile statistics come from their own reports, but some are based on news reports and not official company tallies. No information contained on DMR should be relied upon to make investment decisions. Basically, this is the best I can find and I don’t guarantee anything to be 100%.
