SC Johnson is a privately-owned American company that produces household cleaning and consumer products. The company was founded in 1886 by Samuel Curtis Johnson in Racine, Wisconsin, as a parquet flooring company. In 1906, SC Johnson introduced its first consumer product, a floor wax called “Johnson’s Prepared Wax,” which was a big success. Over the years, the company expanded its product line to include household cleaning products, pest control products, and air care products, among others. Today, SC Johnson is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of household cleaning and consumer products, and it operates in more than 70 countries.
