Ford Facts
Here is pretty much everything you ever wanted to know about Ford.
Ford is an American multinational automaker that designs, manufactures, markets, and services a range of automobiles, trucks, SUVs, and commercial vehicles. It is one of the largest and oldest car companies in the world.
The company was founded by Henry Ford in 1903 in Dearborn, Michigan, USA. Henry Ford had previously worked as an engineer for the Edison Illuminating Company, and he developed an interest in automobiles after building his first car, the Quadricycle, in 1896. With the help of investors, he founded the Ford Motor Company and began producing automobiles.
One of the company’s earliest successes was the Model T, which was introduced in 1908 and quickly became popular due to its affordability and reliability. By 1913, Ford had introduced the assembly line to its manufacturing process, which allowed the company to produce cars more quickly and efficiently.
Over the years, Ford has introduced a number of iconic models, such as the Mustang and the F-150 pickup truck. Today, the company is headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan, and operates in over 100 countries worldwide. It employs over 180,000 people and is one of the largest car companies in the world.
Please note that some of these numbers are easier to find than others. A few of these Ford statistics come from their own reports, but some are based on news reports and not official company tallies. No information contained on DMR should be relied upon to make investment decisions. Basically, this is the best I can find and I don’t guarantee anything to be 100%.
