Founded in 1968 by Donald Lamberti in Boone, Iowa, the company has grown substantially over the decades. As of October 1, 2023, Casey’s operates approximately 2,500 stores across 16 states, making it the third-largest convenience store chain in the U.S. and the largest wholly American-owned in this category.
