Albertsons is a retail grocery company that operates a network of grocery stores and pharmacies across the United States. The company was founded in 1939 by Joe Albertson in Boise, Idaho, USA.
Joe Albertson was a former Safeway employee who decided to strike out on his own and open his own grocery store.
