Augmented reality (AR) has been around for some time but marketers have been relatively slow to find a way to work its technology into marketing campaigns in a way that makes sense.
Over the past few months, augmented reality has penetrated the mainstream marketing world- and in a big way. From event marketing to product packaging, augmented reality is being used to give the consumer a very unique and personal experience.

Clearly, augmented reality has caught on in the U.S. and is has become a real marketing tool for major brands. It will be interesting to see how this will evolve as even more brands embrace the technology.
