Do you ever sneak a peek at Facebook while on the clock? Maybe you had to check the Black Friday sales while you should be checking your work email. Maybe you engaged in a prolonged discussion about the upcoming elections. And let’s not even get into NCAA brackets or fantasy football.
The bottom line is that a lot of people waste time while at work.
Of course, if you are in the marketing world, the line between work time and digital media time may be a bit blurred. You need to be on Facebook and Twitter regularly for work reasons. Also, If you are like me, your undoubtedly work much more than 8 hours a day and may have a different method of work/play time allocation than normal 9 to 5ers.
That said, there is still a bunch of time being wasted on employers’ dimes. Here is an interesting infographic from Bolt Insurance Agency that breaks down just how much time is spent on non-work activity and what it is that is distracting us.
