How Do Consumers Use Social and Mobile to Make Shopping Decisions? (Infographic)

Here is an interesting infographic from consumer survey company Empathica. It explores how social media and mobile are used by consumers in shopping decisions.

The stats used here are a result of a survey of 6,500 U.S. consumers conducted by Empathica recently.

It would also be interesting to see how much each of these tallies have risen or dropped from last year to identify trends. Call me crazy, but i suspect the Groupon total may have fallen a bit from last year.

Here is another stat that would be very interesting to see on this infographic in the future: How many people printed a coupon online and used it to make a purchase?

Printable Internet coupons are red-hot right now and are being used by brands to reward all types of digital behavior. We are seeing online printable coupon print and redemption rates rise quite a bit over the past year and it would be interesting to see if this what we are seeing is part of a larger trend.

What do you think? How does your social/mobile usage match up against these results? What shopping trends are you seeing out there?
