Digital Finally Overtakes Physical Music in 2011

Here is an interesting read from Econsultancy about how digital music sales has surpassed physical music sales in 2011. Nielsen and Billboard teamed up for the report that showed 50.3% of all music sales to be digital.

It got me thinking about CDs and when the last time I bought one. It has been at least six years since I purchased any physical music (unless you consider iTunes cards physical).

Makes me wonder how many years before we see a similar article about DVDs.

How about you? Are you still buying CDs or other physical forms of music?
