PCWorld is reporting that Mozilla is taking a page out of Google’s Chrome playbook and stepping up their major release schedule.
Just last month they shipped Firefox 4 and now they are aiming for a June 21st launch for Firefox 5.

It is unclear exactly what the new features of version 5 will be.
Another Google-like move is “silent updates.” Mozilla apparently would like future Firefox versions to upgrade automatically in the background.
Auto-updates running in the background is nice. Too bad Microsoft doesn’t try it, given their IE6 issues of late.
