new york knicks, linsanityThe Jeremy Lin social media marketing locomotive keeps on chugging and today’s stop is Facebook.

The New York Knicks’ Guard has set up a person Facebook profile (and already has over 18,000 subscribers) earlier today in addition to the Facebook page that he has had for some time and has amassed almost 900,000 likes on.

It may seem a bit weird for a player to create a page and then a profile, but keep in mind that, when his page was created, he was not expecting this kind of following and demand for all things Lin.

Having a personal profile with subscriptions enabled is a much more desirable for an individual that is tasked with maintaining his own presence. It just cuts down on the busy-work and duplicated efforts.

The real question is: How long does this craziness last? Tim Tebow’s 15 mins ended with a playoff loss. Does Lin’s end with a losing streak? It will be very interesting to see how/when Lin comes back down to earth.
