Remember the app I told you about last week that Pepsi was using to reward people for watching their TV ads? Well, apparently Yahoo thought it was a good idea too.

Yahoo purchased IntoNow yesterday for reportedly upwards of $30 million (based on speculation since financial terms weren’t released). The app has only been around for a few months, but boasts 600,000 users and growing.
You will remember that IntoNow‘s defining feature is that it uses audio-recognition to ID what you are watching and allows you to check-in to that show. Pepsi was asking users to check-in to their TV ads and using free Pepsi Max as an incentive.
It will be interesting to see if this is a piece of a larger social plan for Yahoo.
