User Demographics of the Major Social Networks [Infographic]

In doing a little research for a new client pitch, I stumbled on this cool infographic from GO-gulf.com. There is some good info on social network user demographics in it.

The thing that I was most surprised about was male/female breakdown for Facebook and Twitter, I would have guessed the opposite in both cases.

The time spent on Twitter stat is very misleading if it is only measuring Twitter.com visits. Twitter has more third-party app users than any of these other networks.

I spend a great deal of time each month using Twitter, but spend very, very little time on Twitter.com. If there was a way to aggregate all of the third-party activity and combine the total with Twitter.com visits, I would be very interested to see how it stacks up. People spend less time with Twitter, there is no doubt about that, but the gap shouldnt be this great.

What do you think? What is most surprising to you among these stats?
