Back in the day (a year ago) Tweetdeck was the Twitter client of choice for a number of power users, including myself up until (coincidentally) Twitter bought them.

Twitter left Tweetdeck alone for some time, but last Fall, they released a new, HTML5 version that stripped out a number of the features we loved it for. I have since moved on to HootSuite, which has just about all of the features I once had in Tweetdeck, and then some.
TechCrunch is reporting this evening that Twitter is planning an overhaul to their Android and iOS Tweetdeck apps and all I can say to that is Hallelujah!
The new apps may not be enough to bring me back, but their overhaul is a sign that at least Twitter is listening to its most loyal users and fixing a problem it unnecessarily created.
What do you think? What features would you like to see in the new Tweetdeck apps?
