Taylor Swift’s Red Gets an Augmented Reality Makeover

taylor swift red albumAugmented Reality app-maker Aurasma announced this week that they have spruced up the official Taylor Swift app, by adding additional augmented reality content.

Now, when someone hovers over the cover of Taylor Swift’s latest album Red, using her app, they will unlock exclusive new video footage of Swift. Scanning displays in Wal-Mart with the app will also reveal the new video.

Starting to notice a trend? Yes, it seems that augmented reality is starting to catch on as a digital marketing tactic for musicians. The official Taylor Swift app is free and can be downloaded from iTunes and Google Play.
