Now, when someone hovers over the cover of Taylor Swift’s latest album Red, using her app, they will unlock exclusive new video footage of Swift. Scanning displays in Wal-Mart with the app will also reveal the new video.

Starting to notice a trend? Yes, it seems that augmented reality is starting to catch on as a digital marketing tactic for musicians. Just in the past few months, we have seen Justin Bieber, Rick Springfield and now Swift employing the 3D technology to bring additional interactive content to their fans.

The official Taylor Swift app is free and can be downloaded from iTunes and Google Play.
