Updated for January 2016. Here are some of the most interesting China social media statistics I have been able to dig up.
Social media accounts have become as important as email when it comes to communicating. And that has made it a common target in hacking schemes. It’s not just celebrities that have their accounts compromised. Hackers can steal sensitive information and photos from businesses and personal accounts, too. Some just want to take control of your account and use it for their own purposes.
Want an unhackable account? It’s almost impossible. You have to be careful about how you use your passwords, allow outside access, and use third party apps. It’s a daunting task but its worth it to get as close as possible.
The majority of us will take measures to ensure the safeguarding of our assets following our death. Most of us will write Wills or set up Trusts, to ensure that our property and possessions are passed onto our loved ones- but have you ever thought about what will happen to your online data?
A recent poll, carried out in January of this year, found that most adults have concerns regarding their online data. 71% (of 1,012 adults surveyed) stated that they wanted their online communications to remain private unless they gave prior consent. However, 43% stated that they wanted their private accounts to be deleted following their death, unless they had given prior consent for someone else to access them.
So, you thought emojis were just a millennial fad? Well, think again. Emojis allow advertisers to portray real-world expressions and feelings in one simple image, enabling them to easily add sentiment and emotions into their ad, without the use of words.
Following on from last weeks blog post, here are 9 brilliant reasons why social media listening is vital for every brand:
1. Gain real market research on your brand: People post honestly on social media (good and bad), so if someone doesn’t like your brand…they’ll certainly tell you so. Social media allow you to gain real insights, opinions and experiences from real customers in real-time, and this in itself is priceless.
