In case you missed them, foursquare has been rolling out city-specific badges for a few months now. By now, there are quite a few city badges out there to unlock, but I am pretty excited about one of the two new city badges announced today.
Promo Magazine is reporting that Super Bowl viewership is expected to spike to 173 million this year. This total, from a survey by the Retail Advertising and Marketing Association, is significantly higher than last year’s total of 71 million.
News just hit that foursquare will be offering a 4th of July badge for New York City fireworks-goers. Great, but I have to ask- What about the rest of us?

If you have Comcast cable Internet, you were probably like me last night- frantically resetting your cable modem and restarting your computer with no luck gaining Internet access. Apparently, the problem was Comcast’s and we were in good company. Thankfully, Internet is back this morning. Let’s hope the problems are over!
