Flipboard has announced a special inauguration section that will enable readers to follow the news surrounding the inauguration.
According to Flipboard’s blog post the new section will be “a roundup of the best articles, videos and pictures from some of the world’s best sources, including the New York Times, USA Today, Guardian, BBC, Telegraph, LA Times,Chicago Tribune, Politico and more.”
In case you are out and about on Monday, or if you are like me and don’t have the holiday off, and you want to watch the Presidential Inauguration, you are in luck. There is a pretty nice app that will bring the event to your mobile device.
The Presidential Inaugural Committee recently launched The Official Inaugural 2013 App (Android and iOS) that is a mobile clearing house for all things inauguration. The majority of the app’s features are weighed in the favor of visitors to the event, but there is an option that will let you stream the Presidential swearing-in ceremony from the app.
Some of the additional app features include area maps (with bathroom locators) for inaugural visitors, social feeds and an option to sign up for SMS event updates.
If you prefer the more traditional coverage and commentary, check your favorite news channel app for a live stream. From the best that I can tell, ABC News (Android and iOS), NBC Politics (iOS),CBS News (Android and iOS), Fox News (Android and iOS) and CNN (Android and iOS). There may be more outlets announcing streaming of the festivities on their apps as the weekend rolls on.
