Here is a new Facebook feature that may be more useful than it sounds.
Facebook is allowing users to create New Year’s messages for friends that will be held and delivered at midnight on New Year’s Eve.
Just Updated for November: Find Out How Many People Use 1,000 of Your Favorite Social Networks, Apps and Digital Services
So why wouldn’t you just send the messages yourself at that time? Considering the enormous room for error when sending Facebook messages on a mobile device in a crowded, dark, loud place, this makes sense. Even worse, think about the damage an errant drunk message could cause…
Anyways, here is how you can take advantage of this Facebook feature:
- Go to the Facebook Midnight Delivery page
- Authorize the Facebook Stories app
- Select the friends you’d like to send the message to, customize your message and add a photo (optional)
- Send the message and you are done!
There, now you can go out and enjoy New Year’s Eve without having to worry about Facebook. Remember, always be sure to practice safe and responsible social networking!
