Each year the wedü team (where I work) gets in the spirit by decorating our four gigantic street-side windows. This year, we have decided to break the company up into teams and create four unique window displays.
Each window design team was partnered with a New Hampshire-based charity. Our windows not only had to conform to this year’s theme of “The Offseason” (chosen by Facebook users in a poll on our page), but we also had to incorporate something about our charity in our design.
Designing and decorating the window were only part of the challenge. Now comes the digital component.
There are over 400 stat posts on DMR. Browse the full list here.
From now until December 16th, Facebook users can vote for their favorite window design using the fun contest app we created for the campaign.
The prizes for the non-profits are very cool. Each non-profit that gets over 250 votes for their window automatically gets a $250 donation from wedü. Additionally, the non-profit whose window gets the most votes will receive another $500 donation and a $2,000 wedü creative credit for 2013.
Once the campaign is over and the dust settles, I will be writing here about the results and any best practices I picked up along the way. This post is a bit more selfish in nature.
My team was paired up with the Manchester Animal Shelter. We designed a window that shows a Reindeer in a gym doing pull-ups. (Get it? He is working out in the offseason).
Anyways, I need all of your votes to help out the shelter and get them the much-needed funds. The other three causes are awesome ones as well, but I am competitive as heck and I want to win this thing.
If you could, please visit our Holiday Facebook app and vote for window #4. It’s for the animals people!
