foursquare added a pretty cool feature to brand pages yesterday. The geo-location/(recently-launched) local recommendation app has added a ‘nearby’ section to brand pages. This new feature helps the user find the closest locations of a chain or a business with multiple locations.

For example, say you are a Starbucks loyalist and are traveling on business. A quick visit to the Starbucks brand page and you will see all of the shops near your current location.
Of course, one small catch to this new feature is that the business must a) have a foursquare brand page and b) have all of their venues connected to their brand page. These are two issues that foursquare seems to have had a pretty rough go with, but have become a real focus of theirs over the past few months.
