Flipboard Creates Golden Globe Channel

Flipboard, the insanely popular iOS app that turns ugly, plain news feeds into  eye-catching, magazine-style flipbooks, has launched an internally curated Golden Globes channel for tonight’s show.

According to their blog this evening, Flipboard’s, Golden Globe channel includes a number of news feeds for the top entertainment websites, making their coverage of the show fairly comprehensive.

The blog post also mentions that they will be repurposing the channel for future awards shows in the coming months.

If you have an iPhone or iPad and have not tried out Flipboard yet, you are really missing out. Due to its limited functionality, it isn’t a complete replacement for Google Reader or other RSS readers, but it is a very entertaining way to scan your favorite RSS feeds or their custom channels for a little light reading.
