Facebook Ranks the Top 10 Most Popular Games of 2011

Facebook just released a list of the top 10 games of 2011 on their platform page. The rankings are a mix of active users and user recommendations.

Four things about this list surprised me:

  1. Zynga only has 4 of the top 10;
  2. EA only has 1 game in the top 10;
  3. I have never heard of the number one game (Gardens of Time). Maybe I am living under a social rock, but I figured I’d get at least one annoying invite from the most popular game of the year.
  4. Cityville is only third. With all the ink this game got this year, this really surprises me.

What do you think about this list? What was your favorite game of 2011?
