The two Caffeinated Giants are holding a Facebook contest to be able to enter another hybrid Facebook/offline contest to win a prize.

The first contest is a simple signup on the “Unfreeze It” app page where you are also instructed to ‘pre-program’ three shots from a real water cannon at a Coolatta cup in a block of ice.
According to Mashable, 500-600 names will be selected daily and their ‘shots’ will actually take place.
Each selected ‘shooter’ can watch a recording of their shots the next day and see if they won. The first person to melt the ice and free the cup each day wins a prize.
The promo runs during the month of May.
OK, so to recap, we have increased product awareness, data capture, Facebook page traffic generation and strengthened brand loyalty- and all it costs them is a Facebook app, a water cannon and a few dozen token prizes.
This could be one of the more creative Digital Marketing Promos I have seen in a while.
