I just noticed this little piece of info buried in a recent Coors Light press release about the brand’s summer plans. Apparently, the beer-maker is planning an augmented reality app.
According to the release:

The Coors Light Facebook page and YouTube channel will feature exclusive content including a new augmented reality app, Coors Light Cold FX, which allows you to insert the Silver Bullet Pint into photos and videos that people capture on their smart phones. There will be additional exclusive content in the form of videos that tie to the “Splashdown” television ads, as well as photos and videos from local market events throughout the country.
It will be some sort of photo and video sharing app that inserts a Silver Bullet Pint into the shot. That’s about all we know currently about the Coors Light Cold FX app. I will be checking their Facebook and YouTube pages and ss soon as I find a demo video or more info, I will post it here.
