The old cliché “Content is King” has never been more true in the digital marketing world. New, fresh, sharable website content not only builds your brand and generates potential leads, but it also keeps your consumers engaged and connected to your brand.
Generating your content is tough, but once you come up with the killer blog post or case study, how do you let people know about it?
WordPress has been working hard this year to connect blogs more socially and create more of a community among its bloggers. It kind of flew under the radar this week, but they added yet another social feature to their WordPress.com platform.
The user tallies have been coming fast and furiously lately, so I thought it was a good time for my semi-regular, running tally of how many people are using some of the top social networks & tools.
New to this addition is the social bookmarking phenom Pinterest.
Here you go…
Google launched the “share” button today, which is exactly what it sounds like- a way to share a page or post directly with your Google+ circles.
In case you wanted to spruce up your blog posts with a song, album or artist, Wordpress announced recently that you can now embed Spotify and Rdio music.
Wordpress announced yesterday that they have released an API (Application Programming Interface) for some of their newer social features.
Wordpress announced on their blog today that they’ve created gaming badges for Wordpress.com bloggers. The new badges commemorate blog follow (subscriptions) and post like milestones.
When Twitter announced that they purchased the blogging platform Posterous yesterday, many immediately speculated that it was more of an acqhire than an acquire.
Wordpress announced yesterday, that they have made it even easier to post to your blog.
If you are logged into your wordpress.com account, just click on the “new post” button on the right in the top toolbar. You will then see a post editor drop down from the top of the screen.
WordPress announced their new Chrome extension yesterday, which is the latest move in their recent push to become more of a social platform.
The key features of the new extension are notifications for new blog likes and follows and the ability to quickly create a new post from your browser. The latter is very handy when you come across a web page that you would like to write a new post about.
