Another Infographic About Infographics

Countless marketing experts have predicted 2013 to be the “Year of Content Marketing.” Personally, I think this is ridiculous since any good digital marketer has been focusing on digital content generation for years. Maybe the 2013 title is meant to signify the year that traditional marketers finally catch up. Who knows.

OK, jumping off the soapbox…

Anyways, since we all can at least agree that content generation is critical, I thought it would be fitting to share this infographic from topmarketingschools.net. It shows a few important benefits of creating infographics and then which topics are popular with infographic creators and readers.

A creative and informative infographic can often be your most shared content and give your SEO efforts a massive boost. Want a bunch of backlinks? Rather than buying them and facing the wrath of Google, create an infographic with an embed code that includes a backlink.

Combine the infographic below with this one that I posted a few months back and you will have a pretty good idea of the purpose and benefits of infographics and what it takes to create a popular one.
