I recently was sent a link to a pretty interesting Twitter analytics site that is worth checking out.

The site, Tweetping, analyzes Twitter activity and displays it on a world map in real-time. Beyond the “who is tweeting where” element of this site, you can also find out what the latest hashtag and @mention on each continent was.

The data displayed on Tweetping isn’t overly insightful and often changes very quickly, as you would expect it to, but it is a solid gauge for identifying just how active each of the world’s continents are on Twitter. It will be interesting to see how this map changes during major world events.
